First of all, Me, Myself, and I need to move out of the way of God and move into a place in/with God in order to hear God. And right now, that is my quest.
1) Learn that I am a bondservant of Christ
2) Empathize with God’s sorrow because of our disobedience
3) Empathize with those hurting
4) Learn how to be a conduit or portal for God’s will and God’s plan to be manifested in the earth realm just as it is in the heavenly realm (Matthew 6:10)
It is through continual prayer that we must exercise in order to fulfill the burden that we carry. We are to pray until that thing is birthed (or fully developed, delivered, and or accomplished). This is a selfless position to take and yield to. Nehemiah showed us among many in scripture what this looks like.
First of all, in order to take on someone else burden you must get into position Nehemiah was in a position to first receive the burden, so he could see if it was something that he could handle. But he also knew that whatever it was he was going to have to fast and pray. Because sometimes some burden can only receive release through the cupbearer being able to fast and pray much prayer much power. A cupbearer is an intercessor knowing how to go in the trenches. And not coming out until each party is free of that burden of that stronghold.
I must first learn to get out of my flesh. I watch tv, sleep, do nothing, or what I am doing amounts to nothing. I must read, meditate, and pray God’s Word. I must spend time with Him; quality time. I use the excuse that I can’t retain what I am reading, but that is just a copout. I am fully capable of reading and understanding if I put my mind to it. I must participate in activities that will teach and empower me to be a bold Christian. And to do so I must have the Word of God in my belly so that He will be able to speak through me to those that need to hear the gospel and for a difference to be made.
For the past year, I have committed myself to call in to the CSM Prayer line every morning before 6 to 8:30 am to participate with the intercessors and guest speakers. And, from time to time, when I’m burdened and have the need for other prayer warriors to intercede, I will write my concerns on the CSM’s Wall for the intercessors to pray for that particular situation until it has been resolved.
I’ve found myself drawn to collecting poems, hymns, songs and scriptures to ease my burdens. Sharing with others on social media and or one day in published materials, would ease or lighted someone else’s burden, to share encouraging and honest words coming from the heart and are pleasing to God, that should be good enough for me.
