SCRIPTURES TO MEDITATE ON
Galatians 3:5
1OFoolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ has been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2This only would I learn of you, Received you the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the flesh? 4Have you suffered so many things in vain? If it be yet in vain. 5He therefore that ministers to you the Spirit, and works miracles among you, does he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 6Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know you therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel to Abraham, saying, In you shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
Genesis 15:6
And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Romans 4:3
For what said the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness

The lesson I learned was to keep your focus on the promise and never give up no matter how long it takes. Learn to wait well.

Obedience, righteousness, sacrifice, faith, trust; all in and unto God. Believing that He knows best of how and when.

What lesson(s) can you learn from our Forefather of Faith, Abraham? To not get in God’s way, trust and believe he will do just what he said according to his plan and not our own. Just like Jeremiah 29:11 says for ai know the plans for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

My greatest lesson is how not to get sidetrack as we develop into our promise. What sealed this for me was when Isaac was born (Gen 21:1-2)-Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what he had promised. 2 Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him.
The main things I thought Sarah and Abraham was concerned about was old age and time! In the end it they gave birth at the time God planned and at the age God planned. But the inner struggle was our their timing and their age. So the very thing that the were focused on was the things that God already accounted for in his promise. I learned to lay the things that side track me at his feet so i can be free to stay focused on God and his promise.

To be patient, and trust God and the promises he makes us

Lesson learned is you got to hold on to your FAITH and TRUST in GOD no matter what it looks or feel. God’s timing is not our timing and God always keeps his promises. I love how GOD told Abraham he would make his name great making him father of many nations. He just didn’t tell him at what time or when he would do this. Process is necessary as well as having Faith and beieveing in him.

Once God has personally given you a promise/vision, don’t let anyone not even your spouse, relatives or closest friends cloud your vision with doubt no matter how long it takes. Don’t settle for the counterfeits. Though the vision tarry” WAIT ON IT.” Keep your FAITH (For All I Trust Him) & TRUST (To Rely Upon Someone Totally) in God and not man.
