What did God ask Abraham to sacrifice? To Sacrifice Isaac because he wanted Abraham to have faith and trust that he would provide for the both of them? Even if it took Isaac losing his life but the God that I know and serve always has a ram in the bush and a way of escape for us all at all times.

God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, his only son. The son of promise. Abraham had no problem in doing so because he had FAITH and CONFIDENCE in God, God’s word and God’s ability. This is evident as Abraham on the third day lifted his his eye and saw the place where God had told him to go afar and said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you. And again when Isaac asked where is the lamb for the sacrifice, Abraham replied, “My son, God would provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering. This shows that Abraham had faith to believe that no matter what happened, he had complete trust and confidence in God that God would return his son back to him.

I can relate to Abraham’s instructions from God to leave his fathers house, your land, and relatives and go to a land that I will show you in Gen 12. I was also asked this. So i moved from California to Texas.

Genesis 22 God tested, Abraham’s faith, by telling him to Sacrifice his only begotten so, whom he loved Issac as a burnt offering, on the mountain.

God asked Abraham to scarfice Isaac and he was confident in doing this because he knew that GOD brings the dead back to life.
