How long did it take for the promise to be manifested?
It took 25 years for the promise to manifest but it happen when God was ready for it to come to pass so no matter what you try to do to rush or stop it won’t do anything but prolong the matter and issue at hand. But it will come to pass because God’s word will not go out or return unto him void.

Abraham left his fathers house at the age of 75. (Gen 12:4)-So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran.
When Sarah gave birth to Isaac Abraham was in his old age of 100. (Gen 21:5)- Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

In the previous question, I stated that Abraham was 99 years old when he received the first promise of Isaac; however, after further studying, it appears that Abraham was first given the promise back in Genesis chapter 15 while Abraham was yet childless when God gave Abraham a vision telling him that his heir would come from his own body. Therefore, I recant my first answer and say that the promise (the promise of an heir) took place when Abraham was 85 or 86 years old, since in the next chapter, chapter 16 he was 86 years old when Ishmael was born. We know that Ishmael was not the promised child. God confirmed that promise again when Abraham was 99years old when the Lord appeared to him in chapter 17, made a covenant with him, changed his name and promised him and Sarah a son. Therefore, I would say that the promise took 15 years to manifest since Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born (Genesis chapter 21). Although, some scholars say 25 years which includes the 10 years when Abraham was instructed by God to get out/leave his country and his family promising to bless him, his name, and to make him a great nation.
