1. Renewing your mind TRANSFORMS you – Transformed means to make a thorough or dramatic change in the form, appearance, or character of; to undergo a transformation. In other words , I need to undergo a complete change. In the way I think, in the way I see myself and in my actions. As Dr. Scott says in her book, I need to cut off all access the enemy has to and in my life.
2. Renewing your mind makes you FRUITFUL – In order to be fruitful, I must with God’s help remove all distractions and fear that keeps me form being in God’s presence, his word and praying as I should. No more excuses, Lord give me strength to fight and produce.
3. Renewing your mind gives you PEACE – I had a Pastor once say “If you’re going to worry, why pray and if you’re going to pray why worry. This same Pastor also said “One WEEK without PRAYER, makes one WEAK. In order to have peace, this is what I should practice so that the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:7).
4. Renewing your mind makes you WISER – I must follow my first three points and develop a true life of prayer, word and relationship with God. Some where along the way of life, I have let the wiles of the enemy to come in and get me off track (detour me). However, I have to close all roadways and block him out. Sounds easier than it has been over the years, but this time I am determined to WIN!!!
5. Renewing your mind ENRICHES your life – In her book Battlefield of the Mind, Joyces Myers says ” Your mind is the enemies playground.” This is so true in my case. This is where I have warred with the enemy, myself and sometimes even God. This is where the seeds of negative thoughts , fear, doubt, low self-esteem and many other distractions have been planted; where the war/fight/struggle begins. Even the battle of not being able to decipher whether the voice I’m hearing is God or my own. I have heard many people say if it don’t line up with the word of God, it ain’t God. But what if it does and you don’t know whether it’s just something you really want to hear or if it’s truly the will, word and way of God for your life. How do I truly know God’s voice. I know I have to Pray and Mediate on God’s word more. God Help Me and Motivate me to FIGHT. This time I will BE STILL.

1. Renewing my mind transforms me daily: As I read, meditate, pray, study and apply the word, my life is transformed before me. The things that use to bother me, bothers me no more. I have a desire for the things of God and I am drawn to God’s presence even more. I am content and this content has nothing to do with things I have accomplished or acquired but everything to do with knowing who I am is anchored in God and that I am loved and accepted in God and Holy Spirit being a constant in my life.
2. Renewing my mind keeps me in peace: Perfect peace to those whose minds are stayed on God and trusts in Him. As I relinquished control of my life to God and and trust Him I find myself walking in God’s amazing peace. When challenges, struggles and trials come, I recognize that God is doing a work in me to move me from faith to faith and glory to glory in Him. I yield to Holy Spirit. This is not always easy but it works.
3. Renewing my mind makes me wiser: By acknowledging and depending on the Spirit of Wisdom that dwells with and in me, things become easier. I look back at some of the things I have accomplished and know it was only by the Lord’s help and wisdom.
4. Renewing my mind enriches my life: As I apply the God’s Word and principles to my everyday living, my life gets better. I am mindful of my words and sensitive to what comes out of my mouth and what I listen to. I speak life to myself and others. Jesus said that He came that we may have life and have it abundantly. God is true to His promises.

1) RENEWING your mind transforms you Roman’s 12:1-2
You changes the way you think, some calls it stinky thinking, if your mind is not renewed with the mind of Christ Phil 2:5 Let this mind be in you which is in Christ Jesus.
That means I’m out of alignment with the will father of what Gods wants for my life.
2) RENEWING your mind makes you fruitful Ps 1: 1-2 When I have the mind of God, then I have the heart of God knowing what he desires for me, 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thought, mayest be in health even as your soul prosper
3) RENEWING your mind gives you peace Jeremiah 17:8 When my mind is changed I will be at peace, Isa 26:3, God said I will keep you I’m perfect peace who’s mind is stayed on me, because he trust in me, Roman 8:28 knowing all things is working together for my GOOD.
4) RENEWING your mind, makes you wiser Ps 119: 97-100
As I’m learning to change my thought process from stronghold thinking pattern, I realized it helps me to become wiser to make wise decisions concerning my life, Matt 10:16 I am sending you out like sheep’s in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Proverbs 1: 5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.

List at least 4 benefits of renewing your mind. Describe each.
1) Renewing your mind transforms you. Obedience is better than sacrifice. I have to, on a continuous basis, moment-by-moment, stay in constant contact with Holy Spirit in order to remain obedient. This is how I continually renew my mind in order to be transformed and conform to the will and ways of God.
2) Renewing your mind makes you fruitful. My mind has to be rooted so deep in Christ that I have no issue remaining steadfast and unmovable in doing the right thing. In doing so I will produce much fruit by spreading the Good News. I do this by being obedient. No outside influences of subtle, crafty ways of the enemy should be able to penetrate my loyalty to Christ. The voice of Holy Spirit should be my constant companion that keeps me on the path of righteousness. I have veered and gotten off course, but today I declare and decree that my responses from this day forward will be in faith and obedience to the Father’s will. The results in the endwise be joy in knowing that meditating on the things of God is the only way.
3) Renewing your mind gives you peace. No matter the storms of life, any way the wind blows will be cool with me, because my roots so deep that they are strong enough to withstand storms, droughts, trouble, in God’s strength; not mine.
4) Renewing your mind makes you wiser. Allowing God to be our teacher, through his Word and the indwelling of Holy Spirit help us to become wiser. As we hide the Word in our heart, apply it on a daily basis, it causes us to become wiser and stronger in the daily decisions and actions that take place in our heart and life. The enemy does not have easy access to our life because we are doing life changing things to remain in Him and Him in us.
