Let’s look at another example in the bible of a Girl Interrupted. Read the scripture below – How was Mary’s life interrupted?
Luke 1:26-28 NKJV
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!

Mary’s life was interrupted in a good way but she did not understand it at the time. The Angel of God told Mary she was pregnant but Mary was a virgin. Although this was an interruption in Mary’s life, it was a divine interruption. My interruptions have been many. Some of the interruptions have been good and others not so good. However, the interruptions have been learning experiences. I have learned to embrace interruptions and lean to God’s direction on how to handle them.

How was Mary’s life interrupted? While planning to be married, she was chosen, by God, to give birth to the Savior of the world. From appearance sake, she was put to shame because it was believed that she had sinned. But what had happened was a true blessing to all mankind.
Does your situation seem similar – if so, how? I was in a situation, that I deemed that I was not capable of handling. And even though I did what I thought was going to free me from the situation, has not freed me.
I keep hearing Holy Spirit tell me that am to do exactly what this chapter, “Girl Interrupted”, says I am to do (not what I want to do) and that is to…
1) ask God to make “me” clean
2) give “me” pure motive
3) wisdom to make right decisions
4) courage to face opposition
5) to give me humility, integrity, patience, and discernment
6) to keep my ego in check (I honestly did not realize until a week ago that I am prideful)
7) to provide all I need, and to guide me with His hand day after day
8) to help me make EVERYTHING a matter of prayer.

I have experienced constant interruptions. I raised 3 daughters and just when my youngest was on her way to college I inherited a child that interrupted my whole life soon after a was introduced to a man that I later learned would be my husband (I never planned to remarry). He came with a business that required traveling and so much more. Last year alone I live in 3 states all in one year. I brace myself because I don’t know what’s next.

My response to interruptions has been to stay in God’s face, I am learning to place my plans in his hand and trust the plans he has for me. I’m learning that he can handle my discomfort, my tears, and my state of mind. I wait on God, I look for God, I need God and he is stability.

Yes, Because when I found that I was pregnant with my first son I was like how did that happen. Of course at the time I didn’t realize that it only takes one time to get pregnant. That’s the story of my interruption, when I found out it to be true I was very excited to know that now I would be able to do my own thing but wrong again this would cause me to be more responsible then every and that it was no longer just about me but all about my new born baby that was coming. This interruption I wanted but realized how important and how responsible that I would have to become I really didn’t know what I was asking God and the Holy Spirit for really I didn’t. “But through all of that even I still had and is having to do even now is trust God through this process”.

Mary was a virgin chosen to conceive and give birth to Jesus Christ.
Yes, I wasn’t feeling my usual self one day cramping and it wasn’t time for my cycle. I was on birth control and hadn’t missed any pills. My husband and I decided to plan when we would start having children. We had a plan and God had the master plan. I went to the doctor and found out I was eight weeks pregnant. God gave us the greatest gift ever!!! Interruptions will take place when least expected and are often part of God’s plan for our lives.

Mary was minding her own business, about to marry the man of her dreams, Joseph when the Lord interrupted her life by giving her the biggest, most important assignment of her life. Mary was highly favored and chosen amongst all women to birth the Messiah, Jesus Christ, Saviour of the world. This pregnancy was not by the seed of her husband to be; but by the Holy Spirit.
As for me, I have had several situations where I felt things were interrupted, put on hold. It never fails that when i feel excited, energetic and ready to do what i believe God called me to do, life happens. Distractions come and my energy is zapped, my confidence and self-esteem is dwindled and it feels as if I’m stuck in quicksand. However, like some of the others have mentioned, I feel like this is my due season. I feel it more than times before. In order to overcome the fear of failing and counting myself out, I must eliminate the distractions. I must focus on God, His word, don’t give in to my own insufficiencies and TRUST God and HIS PROCESS no matter how it feels, or how long it takes. I know with the powerhouse mentors I have in Birth Your Brilliance (Dr. Scott & Dr. Merle) I will WIN, I will SUCCEED, I will give BIRTH.

I truly believe this is my winning season and I will walk in it. I am Blessed and Highly Favoured for he is with me. I need to stay focused and tune out distractions. My responses to distractions should be : Trust the Process no matter how challenge it can be. Recite the word of the LORD: No weapon formed against me shall prosper; In this world you will have trials and tribulations but I have overcome the world. Trust in the LORD with all thy heart and lean not to my own understanding- in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path. Work the WORD on these distractions that are trying to get me off course. I am excited in this season it will be Great!

I believe that my season has come and I am highly favored of God, I truly believe that I am blessed among many women.
Romans 8:30 whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
I will praise God for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
It’s so amazing that God will chose me as his own and as I had fallen into the snares of the enemy God send his 2 beautiful servants to help me BIRTH my BRILLIANCE only be cause I was created to produce.

This has been the story of my life interruptions. Many of them I had not
asked for. Sometimes I feel liked I’m pushed into a circle of people while
everyone around watched. But that’s okay, I trust God. In the
process I’m holding on to HIM very tightly.
