I cannot think of anything that I wanted more than God. If so, I do not remember because God has been #1 in life.

1) Is there anything in your life that you have put on the throne of your heart as an idol and want it more than God?
• Alone time – sleeping or watching a movie
• Working 40+ hours – telling myself I don’t want to be a financial burden on someone else

Military retirement, marriage, and my will

Marriage. I don’t want it more than I want God, but it has definitely been on the throne of my heart. This questions is showing me that I have made it an idol. I have actually been married 4 times. The 4th is the only marriage I was a Christian, but it was a terrible marriage and I did not do what I should have as a Christian to pray, pray for my husband, and let go and let God.

Is there anything in your life that you have put on the throne of your heart as an idol and want it more than God? Yes, wondering if I would live in my own home, and be married again after becoming a widow on December 17, 2018, after being married for 19 years to a husband that did nothing for me and my children? I must repent, and ask God for forgiveness and get out of his way for what is best for my life?

I have recognized I often obsess over the things that I want or need and it is often times is the very thing God wants me to surrender to him. I am focused on the things that I am asking for and God is focused on the reason I’m asking for those things. So they wont rule my heart instead of him. Repositioning and prioritizing him above anything.

This is such a vital key in our aliveness and being in the moment with God on this side of the sun; excellent, Victoria! Thanks for sharing.

After reading Chapter 4 and answering the questions I have come to the realization that I must immediately stop and surrender unto God. I didn’t realize things I was putting before God. I surrender GOD for putting other things before you and putting so much energy into them instead of making my quality time with you have the same drive and passion. This is deep! I desire so much to loose this weight I so busy following all these quick fix Keto, fasting, etc..or trying to see if this plan works for me that the same energy I need to put into talking with you about everything. So many things wow!

After reading Chapter 4, I realized that I several things on my heart that I may have wanted more than or put before God. The fact that I desire to be married. When I was a bit younger in age I desired another child, but now at 56 years of age and two grandkids, I have let one go (lol). In addition, I desire so badly that my son be saved, delivered, and answer the call of God on his life, for my father to recover and be delivered from his stroke (talk & walk again), so many things.
