I had many roadblocks, detours and slippery slopes to interfere with God’s plan to complete my Doctoral Degree. I believe God’s plan for my future is being released here and now.

    4) In one paragraph tell your story of a complication you had regarding something you knew you were supposed to produce.
    • My parents and maternal grandmother reared my brothers and I in the church (Pro22:6) with the mind-set that we could do all things through Christ (Phil 4:13). Growing up in a small church, small rural community, we were leaders. During my late 20 early 30s I allowed the spirit of fear into my mind. Looking back now, those were the years that Christ wasn’t the center of my focus. As I began to return to Christ and to leadership roles, fear was there saying, “You’re going to mess up and make a fool of yourself”. I settled for less than what I knew God created me to be. One day I had to speak before the Elders’ Council and the spirit of fear gripped me so that I was a hot mess. Elder Mazin gave me a bear hug and said “Daughter, Daughter, God is calling you forward”. That day the spirit of fear was broken off me.

    5) Who were the people involved to help midwife you through your process?
    • Elder Theresa Mazin

    6) Have you birthed the complication yet? If so, what was it?
    • Yes
    • Boldness to speak and teach publicly

I still have not birthed the book. I have notes and writings here and there, that need to be compiled and organized. But that is it. I have been thinking for a long time of a title for the book (like 10 years or more).

All of the other Admins were doing what it took to excel. I could see them climbing the ladder of success; academically and monetarily. And I just sit back and watched. I did just enough to get by.

I knew that when I was working for Shell Oil Company that I was to apply myself in a manner that would excel me, promotionally and monetarily, into my purpose. I had the know how but not the drive to do what was necessary to be recognized nor promoted. Therefore I never reached my potential even though I worked there for 42 years.

Share with the group a complication you had regarding something you knew you were supposed to produce? My book is my life story. I had so much fear I said things like me write a book really God hasn’t called me to write any book my life is too jacked up to talk to someone about it. The pain was too great to talk about because I felt that I was going to be looked at differently and no one would really believe or understand the torment that I had gone through from six to nine years of age.

In one paragraph tell your story of a complication you had regarding something you knew you were supposed to produce. Ministry, books, and ministering the gospel of Jesus word unto his people because I had no degree or education at the time.

Who were the people involved to help midwife you through your process? Apostle Dr. Cassandra Scott, and Reverend Michael Satterfield.

Have you birthed the complication yet? Yes. If so, what was it? My book that is called Struggling Into My Blessings: A Storm Before The Calm. And working on the second book called Looking Through The Dark Clouds Of A Scorned Heart is in the making. And this task hasn’t been easy because I was scared to do them.
